Why is strand woven bamboo stronger than other materials

Bamboo decking flooring has become more and more popular in the world. Bamboo has become an ideal alternate source to woods, to save the wood species and protect the environment.

Moso bamboo is a kind of grass, which has a fast-growing period (about 5 years) and it can regerated when havested, so it is very friendly to the environment. Only mature Moso Bamboo is used for decking and flooring. The bamboo poles are selected carefully and strictly, normally the grade A(top quality) bamboo material is used for decking and flooring, to ensure the good production of decking and flooring.

How is strand woven bamboo made?

The bamboo poles will be cut into strips by machines.

Smashed into bamboo fibers by machines

Carbonization. Through high temperature and heat treatment to ensure the sugar, worm eggs and nutrient be removed efficiently

Drying. Self-developed drying technique to ensure the moisture content of bamboo stripes are equal from inside out, which the water does not accumulate inside the strips, and this environment for fungi will be hard to growth.

Hot Pressing with 2700 tons. After soaking with dynea glue and then balance the bamboo fibers for about one week, the smashed bamboo strips are put smoothly and put into the machine to be hot pressed into a big bamboo board, then cut into bamboo panels, normally 140mm width.

Strand woven bamboo is manufactured through a special process which uses 100% of the Moso Bamboo,  making it harder and more durable than regular bamboo, it is much stronger and harder than woods. Strand woven bamboo is one of the hardest flooring options available, harder than traditional hardwoods. Srand woven bamboo decking and floors are more resistant to moisture than the other bamboo floors and other materials.
