The Differences Between M-Series And D-Series
Many people wonder what are differences between M-series(medium carbonized) and D-series(deep carbonized). Today we will make it clear for you.
At REBO, we use the most advanced carbonization machine,we put the bamboo strips in the boiler to do high temperature carbonization, to remove the sugar, worm eggs, fungi and nutrient efficiently, thus achieve the mothproof and anti-mildew effect.
Here below the differences between M series and D Series :
1. Color Difference:
For medium carbonized, the bamboo board appears light brown color, it is similar with traditional wood and is very popular in the markets; and for deep carbonized, the bamboo board appears dark coffee color.
2. Carbonization Type:
Besides the obvious surface color, the key difference between these two series is the carbonization temperature and carbonization time. Deep carbonized requires a higher carbonization temperature and longer carbonization time than Medium carbonized. Medium carbonized is steam carbonization, and deep carbonized is dry carbonizationation.
3. Length:
At REBO, for medium carbonized, the longest length we can produce is 2500mm ,while for deep carbonized, due to the limited height of heating machine, the maximum length only can be 1860mm only. Some client request for longer length for wall cladding panel, for example 2900 or more, which is also welcome, the length can meet your requirements as longer than 2500mm, please feel free to contact us for more details.
4. Cost:
Due to the special production process for deep carbonized, so normally darker decking board is more durable and enjoys better rot resistance than that of light brown color. So the cost will be higher than M-Series, we propose it uses for wet place for it is more weather resistant, such as the place closed to swimming pool or seaside.
Both two colors are natural and similar with traditional color, so it is very popular. You can choose the color as you like for your outdoor application, it’s very flexible.
The Moso bamboo material is the new trendy material for outdoor terraces. In addition to its aesthetic appearance similar to the wooden deck, bamboo brings a number of advantages. Bamboo is more high density than traditional wood so the structure of the slats remains stable over time: the slats will not tile bending, in addition, bamboo is rot-proof with Class 1 durability and Class 4 usage and not easy to slintering. Finally, it is natural and eco-friendly, it takes 3-5 years to become a useful plant than a tree. Its use therefore combats deforestation, then for maintenance, a simple annual brushing followed by an application of patio oil is sufficient. It's very simple.
Future needs bamboo ,make it happen!
