REBO Bamboo M-series And D-series, what to choose
With the introduction and frequent usage of Bamboo products, REBO Bamboo turns out to perform better than any other bamboo decking. After its introduction to the markets years ago, REBO bamboo has installed thousands of square meters around the world. Meanwhile, more bamboo related products and new techniques were developed in the factory, to search for possible extensions in the range. Currently, REBO bamboo has two kinds of boards-REBO M series and REBO D series.
Bamboo M-series and Bamboo D-series, what to choose?
Most of the time REBO bamboo decking boards are selected because it looks great and beautiful while also meets the requirements in terms of durability and sustainability. Many customers will be confused about these two series when they plan to purchase bamboo decking boards. Here we would like to explain the similarities and minor differences between them:
Bamboo decking is an environmentally friendly alternative to wood, due to its fast growing period and the regeneration itself, but production of these two series makes a difference.
Both bamboo decking products are extremely strong, hard and durable.
The bamboo decking collections have a beautiful bamboo texture appearance.
Both bamboo decking requires some maintenance every year.
Bamboo M-series is medium carbonized treatment, the color is similar to wood, while D-series is deep carbonized treatment, the color is dark.
Different carbonization heat time and different technoloties between M-series and D-series.
Bamboo decking is very stable, which allows for many design possibilities
Bamboo decking boards are remarkably stable. Unlike almost all hardwoods and many alternative materials, such as WPC, PVC, Composite, the bamboo boards remain flat and straight and there is very slightly shrinkage and swelling rate under temperature and humidity fluctuations. The great advantage of the stability is that practically all decking designs can be achieved with REBO bamboo decking and the boards will remain in place for many years. There are many more different profiles available, offering more possibilities for a unique and fashionable design.
What are the main differences between Bamboo M-series and Bamboo D- series?
As explained above in the eco-friendliness section, the differences between the products arise during the production process. Bamboo D-series is heated at a higher temperature and longer carbonization time during production than Bamboo M-series. This results in the different colour and fungi resistance of the decking boards. REBO bamboo M- series uses unique technics to remain the natural color and the sugar, the worm eggs and nutrient will be removed efficiently through carbonization, while REBO bamboo D-series is treated longer carbonization and higher heat time, so the color is dark, however it is more suitable for the moisture environment.
