Bamboo flooring is available in two main color variations: natural and carbonized. Natural bamboo flooring is is the natural colour of bamboo (pale, yellow tones), whereas carbonized bamboo flooring has been charcoal to provide dark brown tones.

The raw material bamboo is highly renewable and sustainable, which makes bamboo flooring planks far cheaper than wood. The price of bamboo flooring can vary slightly depending upon the construction of the planks, strand woven bamboo flooring is marginally more expensive than natural or horizontal bamboo flooring.
